The movie adaption of recently released Ubisoft game The Division has been officially revealed to be in production. The film will star critically acclaimed actors Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain, Prisoners, Nightcrawler) and Jessica Chastain (The Help, The Martian, Interstellar) and is currently undergoing its script-writing phase, according to its IMDb page. Other cast members, as well as a director or any others working on the production, are yet to be disclosed.

“We are excited to collaborate with Jessica and Jake, two of Hollywood’s most talented actors and perfect creative collaborators to help bring Tom Clancy’s The Division to the big screen,” stated CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures Gerard Guillemot.

Vice-president of the same company, Matt Phelps, said in addition to Guillemot’s statement, “Attaching Jake and Jessica is part of our development philosophy of working closely with top talent from the earliest stages to collaborate on a high quality film.”

This film is one of many in the works at Ubisoft Motion Pictures including Watch_Dogs, Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed.
